Privacy Policy.

What we collect, what we do with it, and what you can do about it. Written in plain language because legalese is a way of hiding things.

01 · SummaryThe short version.

GoreMade Fit ("we," "us") collects the information needed to run our service: your account, your payment, your training data, and how you communicate with your Partner and Discipline Advisor. We don't sell it. We share it only with the services we use to deliver our product (Stripe, Supabase, Resend, Twilio, Apple). You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it at any time by emailing joey@goremade.fit.

The rest of this policy is the long version, written to satisfy our legal obligations and your right to know exactly what we do.

02 · Who we areGoreMade Fit.

GoreMade Fit is a personal-training membership and marketplace operating as GoreMade Fit LLC, a registered company in the United States. Our principal contact is joey@goremade.fit.

This Policy covers the GoreMade Fit iOS application, the website at goremade.fit, the trainer/coach dashboard, and any other GoreMade-branded service that links to this Policy.

03 · What we collectThe categories of information we collect.

Information you give us

  • Account information — your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text)
  • Profile information — your fitness goals, training history, body measurements you choose to share, and photos you choose to upload
  • Payment information — your credit card details are collected and processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers
  • Workout data — exercises you complete, sets, reps, weights, durations, notes you and your Partner add to sessions
  • Communications — messages between you, your Partner, your Discipline Advisor, and our support team

Information collected automatically

  • Device information — device type, operating system, app version, language settings, time zone
  • Usage data — features you use, screens you view, actions you take in the app
  • Approximate location — derived from your IP address (city-level only); we do not track precise GPS location unless you enable it for travel features
  • Diagnostic data — crash reports and performance metrics to fix bugs (we use Apple's standard frameworks for this)

Information from third parties

  • Apple Health — only if you opt in (see section 06)
  • Trainer-supplied data — your Partner may add session notes, workout logs, and program adjustments on your behalf

04 · How we use itWhat we do with your data.

  • Provide the service — book sessions, run your program, log workouts, deliver notifications
  • Process payments through Stripe and pay Partners through Stripe Connect
  • Match you with vetted Partners in any city you travel to
  • Send transactional messages — booking confirmations, session reminders, cancellation notifications
  • Provide customer support and respond to your questions
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms
  • Comply with legal obligations (tax records, court orders)
  • Improve the service based on aggregate usage patterns (never on identifiable data)

What we never do: we don't sell your data to advertisers, we don't run third-party ads in our app, and we don't use your training data to train AI models without your explicit opt-in consent.

05 · Who we share withThe companies that help us deliver the service.

We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers, all of whom are contractually bound to use that data only to deliver service to GoreMade Fit:

  • Supabase — our database and authentication provider (hosted in the United States)
  • Stripe — payment processing and trainer payouts via Stripe Connect
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (booking confirmations, cancellation notices, etc.)
  • Twilio — SMS delivery for opt-in reminders and authentication codes
  • Apple — App Store distribution and Apple Push Notification Service for in-app notifications
  • Expo / EAS — mobile app build and OTA update infrastructure
  • Your GoreMade Partner — your Partner sees your goals, your program, your session history, and any messages you exchange (this is necessary for them to deliver the service)
  • Your Discipline Advisor — if you're a Tier 2 or Tier 3 member, your Advisor sees your training cadence, session attendance, and any messages you exchange with them

We may also disclose data if required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order) or to protect GoreMade Fit, our users, or the public from harm.

06 · Apple HealthWhat we do with HealthKit data.

If you enable "Sync workouts to Apple Health" in Settings, GoreMade Fit:

  • Writes completed workout sessions to your Apple Health record — workout type, start/end time, calories burned estimate
  • Reads heart rate and active energy data during a workout you started in our app, used only to compute that session's heart-rate summary (avg, max, zones)

We do not read any other Apple Health data. We do not retain heart rate samples on our servers after computing the summary. The original samples remain in your Apple Health record and are never transmitted to us.

You can revoke access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > GoreMade Fit on your iOS device. Data already written to Apple Health remains in Apple Health.

07 · SMS & phoneHow text messaging works.

You can opt in to receive SMS reminders by toggling "Text message reminders" in your account settings. The toggle is off by default. Once enabled, we may send you:

  • Booking confirmations when you book a session with a Partner
  • Reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before each session
  • Notifications when a Partner or you cancel a session
  • Authentication codes if you sign in with phone OTP

We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by toggling the setting off in the app. Message and data rates may apply.

Your phone number is used only for SMS delivery, sign-in authentication (if you choose phone signup), and (with your permission) account recovery. It is not shared with advertisers or sold.

08 · Cookies & trackingHow we use cookies on the website.

The goremade.fit website uses only the cookies necessary for the site to function (e.g., remembering your preferences). We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers, cross-site cookies, or behavioral profiling.

We may use anonymized analytics in the future (e.g., Plausible, Fathom — privacy-respecting tools that don't track individuals). If we do, we'll update this Policy and provide a clear opt-out.

09 · Data retentionHow long we keep your data.

  • Account data — for as long as your account is active, plus 90 days after account closure
  • Workout history — same as account data
  • Payment records — 7 years (required for tax and accounting law)
  • Communications — 2 years from the date of the message
  • Diagnostic data — 30 days
  • Marketing consent records — until withdrawn, plus 3 years (TCPA requirement)

You can request earlier deletion of any non-legally-required data by emailing joey@goremade.fit.

10 · Your rightsWhat you can ask us to do.

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct — update any information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete — request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements above)
  • Restrict — limit how we process your data
  • Object — opt out of specific processing activities
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what data we collect and the right to opt out of any "sale" of personal information (we don't sell data, but you can confirm this in writing).

To exercise any of these rights, email joey@goremade.fit with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days.

11 · ChildrenMinimum age requirements.

GoreMade Fit is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.

12 · International usersWhere your data lives.

GoreMade Fit is operated from the United States. Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. If you access our service from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

By using GoreMade Fit, you consent to this transfer. We rely on the standard contractual safeguards required by GDPR for users in the European Union and the equivalent frameworks where applicable.

13 · ChangesHow we update this Policy.

We may update this Policy as our service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in-app at least 30 days before the new Policy takes effect. The most recent "Effective" date is shown at the top of this page.

Continued use of GoreMade Fit after a Policy change constitutes acceptance of the new Policy.
